Can I use Expert Advisors (EAs), bots, or automated trading?

Expert Advisors, bots and automated systems are allowed on P1, within the rules - and the practices that remain off-limits.

Important: EAs, bots and automated systems are allowed, as long as they trade within P1's rules and don't rely on a prohibited practice such as copy trading, HFT or arbitrage. Breaching those rules can still fail your challenge and void payouts.

Yes. You're welcome to use Expert Advisors (EAs), bots, scripts and other algorithmic or automated systems to trade your own strategy on P1. Automation itself isn't the issue -what matters is that your trading stays within our rules and isn't built around a prohibited practice.

That means the following remain off-limits, whether you trade them manually or through an EA:

  • Copy trading - mirroring another person's live trades, or signal services that copy someone else's positions

  • High-frequency trading (HFT) - exploiting execution speed rather than genuine market analysis

  • Arbitrage - including latency and hedge-based arbitrage

  • Any other practice listed in our Prohibited Practices policy and Playbook

You can run your strategy however suits you - manually or fully automated - as long as both the strategy and its execution comply with our Trading Objectives and rules. If an EA, script or technique would breach a rule, or is designed around one of the prohibited practices above, it isn't allowed and can fail a challenge or void payouts.

Ordinary platform tools - charting, indicators, alerts, and manual order types such as stop-loss and take-profit - are always fine.

If you're unsure whether a particular EA, tool or technique crosses the line, check our article on Rules & Prohibited Practices or ask support before you use it.
