There are two possible outcomes during a Challenge evaluation: you will either successfully pass and advance to the next stage, or you will fail and the challenge will be terminated. If a challenge is terminated, you will need to purchase a new one to continue trading.
How to Pass (Advancing) To successfully complete an evaluation phase, you must achieve all required trading objectives without violating any rules or engaging in Forbidden Practices.
How to Fail (Hard Breaches vs. Soft Breaches) Failing an evaluation phase is referred to as a Hard Breach. A Hard Breach results in the immediate termination of your challenge.
Automated Hard Breaches: Standard risk limits (like Max Daily Loss or Max Total Loss) are monitored and enforced automatically in real time.
Manual Hard Breaches: Violations related to Forbidden Practices are enforced following a manual review by the P1 Risk Team. These reviews can happen during your evaluation, after a phase is completed, or before any payout is processed.
What is a Soft Breach? Unlike a Hard Breach, a Soft Breach will only close the specific affected positions. Your overall challenge remains active and completely unaffected.
Restart Trading: If your challenge is terminated, you can continue trading by either purchasing a new challenge or utilizing the Reset Feature to restart your current evaluation at a discounted fee.
